It was there that Moore

It was there that Moore, who had teamed with Sunday to try and find the Queen Pearl for the exhibit, found a couple of likely suspects links of london.

"There were two pearl stick pins that had been given by Tom Evans, and we went to look at them," says Moore Links of London Necklace. "We chose one of them that might have been the Queen Pearl. We were pretty confident because it was freshwater. ... We took all our experience in studying pearls, looked at its crevices and luster, and made the determination that it was in the range of size of the Queen Pearl. It was the right design, too. It had a 19th century setting and it had one of the right owners (Evans). Being a historian, I can't say for sure, yes, that this is the Queen Pearl, but I think it's more than likely."

So does Sunday, although he's reserving final judgment and will continue to dig for documents that will positively identify it as the Queen Pearl. Until then, the Prospect Park, N.J., resident is content to try to bring the pearl back to his native city for a visit N Charm.

"I look at (Paterson) and I don't see squalor and slums," says Sunday, "but a wonderful place where gems come from M Charm."
